There is nothing worse than your glorious new hair colour fading after a couple of weeks. I recently added a touch of copper/red to my hair and these hues are notorious for fading so here are a couple of ways to ensure your colour lasts as long as it can

FABULOSO

I use the Evo Fabuloso Pro which is a white base conditioner. My hairdresser Emma from Vada mixes my actual colour into it so it’s tailor made just for me. I use it once a week after shampooing, leaving it in for a good 5 minutes. It’s changed my life!

WASHING

I used to wash my hair everyday as it is so fine and gets oily pretty quick. I have now managed to train it into only being washed a couple of times a week. It was a struggle but worth it in the end! It also does really help to use a good quality shampoo and conditioner.

Vada recommends using a colour lock shampoo and told us “One of the most important features of a shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair is it’s role as an anti-oxident. Contrary to popular belief it’s not sun or seawater that fades your hair – it’s actually oxygen. Something like Goldwell’s aptly named ‘Fade Stop Shampoo’ and the accompanying ‘Detangler Conditioner’ will help to slow your colour oxidising in between salon visits and smooth the cuticle of your hair so your colour appears shiny and vibrant”
